Maccabi London has installed a new state-of-the-art 7th Generation (7G) AstroTurf pitch at Rowley Lane replacing the end of life 3G that had seen a decade of service.
This outstanding new pitch has vastly improved technology that will allow our boys and girls to play on perfect surfaces whatever the weather.
Lions Chairman, and MLB trustee Andy Landesberg said: ‘This is a great leap forward for the facilities, and the investment cost several hundred thousand of pounds. We always want the best we can get, and we’re pleased that we have another outstanding upgrade for Rowley Lane and London Lions’.
‘It’s vital that we now protect this large investment, and I would urge all players and parents to read the updated guidelines on what we need to do to ensure we not only maintain our warranty, but preserve the pitch for the maximum lifespan.
‘This is a community asset, and staff cannot be ever present, so we hope players, parents, managers alike will act as one to be the guardians of this fantastic pitch and make sure the guidelines are kept by all’.
The updated do’s and dont’s are here for all to read – they are different from previous guidelines and will need to be followed or else players will not be allowed to enter the playing area – please take good note and enjoy playing on our great new pitch!
