Former Lions goalkeeper Reuben Rabstein has signed to play US College football from next season.
Rabstein officially signed for Northeastern State University Riverhawks in Oklahoma as he continues his footballing journey, which all began aged 6 at Maccabi London Lions.
The giant stopper played right through the youth system at Lions and made his first team debut aged 16, going on to make 25 appearances for Lions senior side in an impressive breakthrough into men’s football, including being part of our Anagram Records Trophy winning side in 2015/16. He has more recently played for the GB Under-18s side at the 2017 Maccabiah in Israel and Wingate & Finchley Under-23s.
Reuben was quoted as saying: ‘I’m really excited to be joining the Riverhawks because of the fresh and exciting programme they have. I am delighted to be studying abroad and am looking forward to immersing myself in the sports culture that is so profound in American society’.
All at Lions wish Reuben luck in the US.
