Lions made it five wins in a row with an impressive away win against bottom side Hillingdon in a midweek away victory.
Andy Landesberg added GB’s Maccabiah captain Mitch Hahn to the squad following the capture of the midfielder who started his football journey at Lions over a decade ago.
It took Lions only three minutes to get going when Kyte freed Adam Bolle to slam the ball into the roof of the net to open the score.
Hillingdon, struggling and in a relegation fight already, hit back and equalised on the half hour; but Lions retook the lead on the stroke of half time when Jake Furman scored from long range and gave Lions a cushion they were not letting go this time.
With the game poised at 2-1, it took Lions some time to break the resistance of Hillingdon, but when the dam broke, Lions took advantage.
The introduction of Charlie Kasler saw Lions head into top gear; his impact was immediate when he clipped a pass to Austin Lipman, who then fired in from 15 yards for his tenth of the season.
With fifteen minutes left, Kasler again was the creator, freeing fellow sub Jack Mattey who brilliantly outfoxed the Boro ‘keeper and finished in style for 4-1.
Mattey scored another five minutes later, when Lipman freed the Lions starlet and the young Lion added another to the tally.
Kasler then completed a hat-trick of assists as Lions made it 6-1 when the midfielder played in Adam Bolle to finish the scoring and net his second of the game.
The team now focus on a huge game at the weekend as we travel to Leighton Town in the FA Vase in good heart.
