Aidy Boothroyd, England’s current Under-21 Manager, visited Rowley Lane in midweek and gave our Juniors a special training session.

The former Watford and Coventry City boss is used to working with the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Harry Winks and Joe Gomez, but took time out of his schedule to come and talk to our Under 12s who were training and then lead a coaching session for our Under 15s.
Despite the arctic conditions, the boys had a great time and were made to work hard by their esteemed coach. It was an amazing experience which it was clear to see all the kids enjoyed. Aidy seemed very impressed with the quality of facilities and the ethos that Tony Gold and his coaches are implementing at Rowley Lane, not to mention some of the play from our Under 15 squad.
This was arranged on a personal basis, and the club would like to thank Aidy and everyone involved in making this happen.
