Sky Sports pundit and Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher was the special guest at Wednesday’s Maccabi London Brady lunch.
Joined on stage by fellow Sky Sports presenter David Jones, Carra gave an entertaining and frank assessment on various Premier League topics and also shed interesting light on how his role at Sky Sports came about.
He was preceded on stage by Chief Rabbi Mirvis, who once again showed his interest in sport and our community asset at Rowley Lane.
MLB Chairman David Kyte shared the vision of a new clubhouse, and further multi-sport facilities that are in a new master plan for development following the construction of the Alpha Stadium and stand.
The annual lunch is what helps underwrite the current running costs of Rowley Lane, and the 220-guest full house went away well entertained and also enjoyed their time among friends and team mates.
A total of £270,000 was raised, which will all but cover the costs of running and staffing the facilities for the next year.
Previous guests at the lunch have included Graeme Souness, Sir Bobby Charlton, Glenn Hoddle and Paul Merson.
