Under 11 Whites joined their Under 9 and 10 colleagues by making the ‘final four’ of their WFL Annual Competition.
The Blues and Yellow teams also narrowly missed our but the resurgent Whites made it to the finals at Harvesters on Sunday May 8th – highlighting the club’s current promise in the younger ‘non-competitive’ ages.
Two hat-tricks from Zan Appleson-Fidler helped Whites successfully negotiate their group to set up an opportunity for a trophy in May.
White team manager Andy Miller said ‘The team were focused and played some fantastic football; we were complimented by a number of other managers. The boys behaved in a sporting manner and were a credit to the club.
‘It appears we are drawn against Hadley Rangers who beat us last year so we hope we can we make amends this time!’
Blues were unbeaten, but drew four games to come a narrow second in their group.
Yellows Mamager Simon Pollen was also pleased with his team; ‘We somehow just fell short again as we conceded one goal in our 5 games and for the 2nd year running we were pipped to the post and came 2nd’
The Yellow team did announce that the players player of the season is Sam Jacobs with Managers player of the season being Josh Benson.
