Nigel is a fully qualified referee and referees in the MSFL every Sunday morning and he is also the fixtures secretary of the MSFL. He is now a fully qualified FA Level One Coach as well.

He managed his own Men's football team in the MSFL for 7 seasons up until the birth of his first son, Joshua in 2000. 

Nigel is an ardent Chelsea supporter and has had a season ticket there since 1975!
