The 2009/10 season promises great things for the Lions, with the floodlit 3G surface now up and running, the Saturday First Team ground sharing at Clarence Park, home of Conference South side St Albans City, and all Junior age groups playing in either the first or second divisions of the Watford Friendly League or the West Herts League.
The addition of the 3G surface has meant that the Club has truly come home, with all sides (from Under 7 to Over 45s) training on midweek evenings at Rowley Lane, something we could barely have dreamed of even twelve months ago. Yet another big thank you goes to the founding fathers, Messrs Kyte, Lewis, Newman and Wise for allowing us to further realise the dream. We now have the platform we need to push the Club to the next level whilst keeping ourselves at the forefront of Jewish football. By encouraging the highest standards both on and off the pitch - in the way in which our teams act and are coached and the style in which they play – we hope to be competitive on the pitch and leaders off it. We are confident that with the support of the players and the wider Lions family we can ensure that London Maccabi Lions continues to be ‘the Club to play for’ for many years to come.
